Obtaining Optimal Operations

Most people want optimal performance in their personal life and at work.

Obtaining optimal performance requires an alignment of a number of moving parts.  Like any good machine, we must monitor the parts of our system that impact the ultimate outputs and achieving outcomes.

Through our system we will guide clients through understanding how their machine works as well as those that impact their performance and outcomes.

This understanding can help the client rethink, realign, and reignite their movement toward achieving optimal performance in their organization or career pursuits.

What is Our Process?

Our process is based on a proven approach of iterative cycles of capturing and documenting successes while simultaneously adjusting plans and processes for greater success.

1. Needs Statement

We listen and ask questions to learn more about the organization and the personal journey.  We want to understand the current status and the new direction of the organization and the team.

Testimonials

“Kim is one of the most talented leaders and educators I have worked with in my 40 years of higher education experience.  Not many people can be strategic and tactical thinkers.  Not many can create and successfully execute a plan.  Kim is equally adept at being attentive to tasks and people.  Over the course of her professional life she has been creative, imaginative, adaptive, and all the while staying true to the mission of her institution and her personal values.  Most importantly though, Kim has a passion for justice, equity and celebrating the beauty and strengths that diversity brings to our world.  Her uncanny ability to understand the needs, interests, and motivations of individuals and teams enables her to quickly and effectively create healthy, productive and joyful relationships.  Kim brings a breadth and depth to her work that is truly extraordinary.“

Mike Segawa

Former Vice President for Student Affairs, Pitzer College and the University of Puget Sound

“As I transitioned into a new career path, Kimberly Thomas was instrumental in my professional development and growth. Dean Thomas’s innate understanding of strategy and organizational development as well as her commitment to team growth and development were paramount to my development as an employee and a team leader.  Despite her busy schedule and competing interests, Dean Thomas prioritized developing, training and supporting her team over everything else.  Dean Thomas was instrumental in the development of dozens of staff- both direct and indirect reports.  With her incredible talent recognition ability, Dean Thomas was able to pluck young underdeveloped professionals from their respective areas and nurture, teach and mature them to the point where they appeared seasoned beyond their years.  Dean Thomas also has the ability to peel back layers and speak directly to the need of an individual or an organization.

She created professional development opportunities when there were none, advocated for fairness and equity when no one else would and prioritized safety when others didn’t.  I am a better supervisor, employee and teacher because of Dean Thomas and I know countless others would say the same.”

Kimberly Woods

Attorney, Former Assistant Dean of a Student Conduct Office, Former deputy prosecuting attorney

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
